After a very long wait, Black November, a movie by popular producer and director, Jeta Amata, has finally hit the cinemas in the United States.

The Nollywood/Hollywood collaboration which features global music stars such as Akon and Wyclef Jean, tells a story of the Niger Delta community struggle against the Nigerian government and a multi-national oil corporation in a bid to save the environment which is being destroyed by excessive oil drilling.

The movie, which was first premiered at the Kennedy Center in the United States on May 8, 2012, was also screened on September 26, 2012 during the United Nations General Assembly.

It was expected to open in cinemas in the US on December 7, 2012 but was delayed and will now be showing from January 9, 2015.
